I ran as quickly as possible, escaping the barking hounds and the unknown men chasing after my hidden trail. I felt my own sweat slipping down to my neck, brushing myself as I weaved through the grove of tress. I found myself standing in front of an apartment, a single light flicking with it's glow as I hesitantly watched and slowly stepped towards the steps to the door.
How did I know where I was going? I couldn't figure out what my new body was thinking, only one thing: Talk.
As I extended my hand out to ring on the door-bell, the door automatically open, him standing in front of me as she stared down with surprise with an odd mix of a puzzled look. I don't think he was expecting me but I walked in anyways, unable to force myself to retreat like I have before. I couldn't tell what was going to happen and what I would do next, all I was forced to do was sit on the couch in the guest room and stare down at my feet, heart pounding and all. He looked familiar but my brain couldn't recover what I knew of him, only that I have seen him before and he was someone I felt like going to when I was in need of help or just company.
This didn't feel like a dream, more like I was living with in a new body, someone who I felt like I can be myself in only that they have full control of my actions and words. The only thing I was able to do was think and write, if my body would let me that is.
He's came over to sit with me, prepared to talk as if he too was waiting for this moment. My mouth moved as I spoke, saying only small talk and a conversation only my body and him would understand. I couldn't, but he seemed to enough my unexpected presence.
